Pastor Micheal Washington is a native of Houston, Texas. He is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs.Martha and Coakie Washington Jr. Being raised in North Houston, Acres Homes Community, Pastor Mike overcame the snares of the enemy while possesing a determining focus on "just making it".
Having been educated through the revelation of The Holy Spirit, Pastor Mike also completed studies at Dwight Eisnhower High School, Houston Bible Insitue, College of Bible Studies and Dallas Theological Seminary.
Called to ministry in 1996 under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Dightman (The Bread of Heaven Church/Champions Baptist Fellowship), given the example of devout respect for ministry, Pastor Mike gleemed from the leadership and role models of ministry placed before him. While under the leadership of Pastor Dightman, Pastor Mike obeyed his leader when their entire ministry joined in fellowship with Bishop James W.E. Dixon and The Community of Faith Church. There Pastor Mike served as a Bible Study Cell Leader and Leader of Young Adult Ministry "Generation X-Cell" a ministry birthed out of the notion that society called the current generation X because they didn't know what to title it, so it was coined X-Cell, with the notion of showing believers and the world that they would be X-cellent and X-cell beyound the worlds X-pectations.
In spring of 2010 Pastor Mike was the visinary tool used for the inception of God's Church of Purpose. Now known as Purpose Ministries.
Best known for his gift of music and his congenital ability to deliver God’s word.
Pastor Micheal Washington affectionately known as “Pastor Mike” is a well sought
after preacher and is focused on his goal. While living his Holy Spirit inspired quote
“I’m destined for greatness, and determined to make it”. Pastor Mike delivers
encouraging words and empowerment everywhere he goes. “I admit I have faults I have taken some lumps, but through my relationship with God, look at me now, I have overcome!” is a statement that Pastor Mike proudly admits. He resides in Houston, Texas along with his lovely wife Tressa and their three sons.
